Chemstat 830/60DC

Chemstat® 830/60DC functions as an internal antistatic agent and lubricant for polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, and PVC resins.

The components of Chemstat® 830/60DC are approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (US-FDA) under a) 21 CFR §178.3130, Antistatic and/or anti-fog agents in food-packaging materials, for use as 1) an antistatic agent for molded or extruded polyethylene containers, 2) as an antistatic agent in polypropylene films in accordance with §177.1520 of this chapter; b) 21 CFR §184.1555, Rapeseed oil, where it is Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS); c) 21 CFR §182.90, where the carrier is GRAS. Use in molded or extruded polyethylene containers must not exceed 1.67% by weight and is intended for contact with honey, chocolate syrup, liquid sweeteners, spices, aromatic extracts and liquid flavor concentrates, shredded cheese, light and heavy cream, yogurt, and Type VIII foods described in Table 1 of §176.170(c) of this chapter; use in polypropylene films must not exceed 0.67% by weight and is used in contact with food types I, II, III, IV, V, VI-B, VII, VIII as described in Table 1 of §176.170(c) of this chapter and under conditions of use B through H described in Table 2 of §176.170(c) of this chapter. The average thickness of such polypropylene film must not exceed 0.001 inch (30 micrometers). Cites should be consulted regarding suitability for the intended use.
