EXOcare TEW Flakes is a mixture of chemical compounds with the INCI name: Cetearyl Alcohol and Ceteareth‑18.
The commercial product is available as a white or cream waxy solid in the form of flakes. EXOcare TEW Flakes is used in the cosmetics industry, mainly as an ingredient in personal care cosmetics. It is excellently suited as an effective emulsifier and conditioner in cosmetics for washing and caring for the skin and hair. In a formulation it serves as an emulsifying base, especially in oil‑in‑water (O/W) preparations. It has high stability over a wide pH range. It can be used as a primary or secondary emulsifier in the production of a wide range of balms, creams and pastes. Its undoubted advantage is its ability to reduce the drying effect of anionic surfactants contained in the formulation. Thanks to its properties, it leaves the skin hydrated and covered with a gentle protective film.
