EXOsoft AB25 is an ester of benzoic acid and C12-15 alcohols; INCI: C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate.
It is an oily, clear liquid with a color of max. 50 on the Hazen scale. It has a light consistency and low viscosity. It is insoluble in water but very well soluble in fats and solvents such as chloroform and hexane. EXOsoft AB25 regulates the epidermal microflora and has an antimicrobial effect. It inhibits the growth and development of microorganisms and prevents their survival in the product. In addition, it protects the skin against environmental pollution and UV radiation. In this way it ensures the safety of the finished product. Its main area of application is the manufacture of cosmetics, including personal care products.
