EXOsoft L3/40 is an anionic surfactant (INCI name: Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate).
The product is a pale yellow to yellow liquid characterized by approx. 40% solids content. It differs from SULFOBURSZTYNAN L3/40 mainly in the type of preservative used. The product contains a milder preservative that is more sought after in the cosmetics industry — sodium benzoate. It has excellent cleansing properties, produces effective foam, and is gentle on skin and eyes. EXOsoft L3/40 has hydrotropic properties, which stabilize the formulation and give it a clear, transparent consistency.
