Phosphorus oxychloride SOLAR GRADE (POCl 3 SOLAR GRADE) POCl 3 SOLAR GRADE is a product with a very high purity grade of 6N - 99.9999%, whose total metal content does not exceed 1 ppm.

Its high purity grade leads to its use mainly in the production of n-type and p-type emitters, semiconductors and optical fibers. POCl 3 SOLAR GRADE is intended to create a layer of phosphorus on the silicon surface during deposition (evaporation). The amount of phosphorus supplied to the silicon surface is controlled by selecting suitable flow and temperature conditions. N-type emitters produced using phosphorus oxychloride are often used as precursors in the production of silicon solar (photovoltaic) cells, which use a semiconductor p-n junction to convert solar radiation into electricity. The key process for this type of conductor is phosphorus diffusion.
