The commercial product is a white to light yellow wax offered in flake form. Its solidification point is about 50°C. The product dissolves well in water, low aliphatic alcohols, ethyl ether and chloroform. Forming the product in flake form is a great convenience for formulators thanks to easy dosing, product storage and the lack of financial costs associated with heating the storage tank, which allows the product to be kept in a liquid state.
