The commercial product is available in the form of white to light yellow waxy flakes. The solidification temperature of the product is 52-58 °C. The product is freely soluble in water and in low aliphatic alcohols. It is safe, non-toxic and does not cause skin irritation. Forming the product in flake form is a great convenience for formulators thanks to easy dosing, product storage and the lack of financial costs associated with heating the storage tank to keep the product in a liquid state.
