ROKAmid KAD is a non-ionic surfactant with the INCI name: Cocamide DEA.
It is produced on the basis of natural vegetable oils. It has the form of a clear or slightly turbid liquid ranging from light yellow to yellow. ROKAmid KAD is one of the most widely used auxiliary surfactants and has a number of very interesting application properties. ROKAmid KAD is widely used in the production of cosmetics, where it acts primarily as a rheology modifier - a thickener that improves consistency through the formation of so-called mixed micelles. In combination with anionic surfactants, it improves and stabilises foam quality. ROKAmid KAD is very effective at low concentration. It has cleansing properties - it removes impurities from the skin and hair while also having a refatting effect. The washing process deprives the skin, among other things, of fatty substances, therefore refatting substances are needed, i.e. ROKAmid KAD, which restore the lipid barrier and thus protect the skin against external factors and damage. As a thickener, it is also excellently suited for the detergent industry, both for domestic and professional use, as well as in car chemistry.
