ROKAmin K5 is a non-ionic surfactant with the INCI name "PEG-5 Cocamine".
It belongs to the ethoxylated fatty amines with an average ethoxylation of 5 mol. The commercial product contains approximately 100% active substance. ROKAmin K5 is in the form of a clear liquid with an amber color. Its solidification point is approx. -19 °C. The product dissolves well in water. Due to the presence of an oxyethylene double chain on the nitrogen atom, the product has, when applied, a combined effect as a non-ionic and cationic surfactant, particularly in acidic systems. Owing to its cationic character, the ROKAmin K5 molecule can form a single film on a metal surface. As a result, the product exhibits an anticorrosion effect, particularly on ferrous metals.
