ROKAnol ® GT6 is a non-ionic surfactant.
It belongs to the group of ethoxylated fatty alcohols. The product is part of a range of surfactants based on C9-C16 alcohol. Thanks to its special properties, ROKAnol ® GT6 is a perfect substitute for ethoxylated C13 alcohol. At 50°C ROKAnol ® GT6 is a clear liquid with a Hazen colour of max. 100. It is poorly soluble in water and forms cloudy solutions in it. However, the product dissolves very well in methanol and acetone. The cloud point of ROKAnol ® GT6 is determined for a 10% solution in a 25% BDG solution and is 67-72°C. The commercial product contains over 99% active substance and solidifies at a temperature close to 0°C. It is compatible with non-ionic, anionic and cationic surfactants.
