ROKAnol® L2 MB (Laureth-2)

ROKAnol L2 MB is a non-ionic surfactant used as an emulsifier and dispersant in personal care products.

The product exhibits viscosity-modifying properties in formulations. ROKAnol L2 MB can be used in oxidizing, reducing and hard-water environments. It is active in acidic and neutral baths, as well as in dilute alkalis. It is used primarily for the production of ether sulfates. ROKAnol L2 MB differs from ROKAnol LK2 (INCI name: Laureth-2), which is used mainly as an intermediate for the synthesis of anionic surfactants of the lauryl ether sulfate (SLES) group, in its water content (maximum 0.3%). ROKAnol L2 MB belongs to the group of products covered by the RSPO certificate under the Mass Balance model (www.rspo.org). This means that the palm oil used to produce the base raw material contained in ROKAnol L2 MB comes from crops that do not contribute to the depletion of natural resources. Its production also respects the rights of people living in the areas where oil palms are grown.
