ROKAnol®S20 (Steareth-20)

ROKAnol S20 is a non-ionic surfactant belonging to the group of alkoxylated alcohols.

Its INCI name is Steareth-20. At room temperature the product is a white or yellowish-white mass with a waxy structure. The commercial product may also appear as flakes or granules and microbeads. ROKAnol S20 has a synergistic effect with anionic, cationic, amphoteric and other non-ionic surfactants. It also has high resistance in the presence of electrolytes and in an alkaline environment. The surfactant is a versatile and highly effective emollient. As part of cosmetic preparations it therefore improves the condition of hair and skin, making them smooth, soft and healthy-looking. The product has excellent emulsifying properties. It is therefore readily used as an additive in various types of cosmetic emulsions. The preparation also effectively stabilizes foam and has a very good effect on the rheological properties of the finished cosmetics.
