ROKwinol 20EXC is a sorbitan monolaurate ester ethoxylated with approximately 20 moles of ethylene oxide.
The chemical parameters of ROKwinol 20PF comply with the current monograph of the European Pharmacopoeia for Polysorbate 20. Among other things, the product meets the strict limits for low content of ethylene oxide, dioxane or heavy metals. It appears as an oily, clear liquid of yellow to light brownish colour. It is characterised by very good solubility in water and polar solvents such as: anhydrous ethanol, ethyl acetate or methanol. The product is practically insoluble in fatty oil and liquid paraffin.
