Sorbax SMO sorbitan esters are oil-soluble surfactants used to prepare stable water-in-oil emulsions.
They are also used in combination with surfactants of higher HLB, especially with the corresponding sorbitan ester ethoxylates, for the emulsification of petroleum oils and solvents, vegetable oils, waxes, silicones and other water-insoluble materials.
