Surmax®CS-727 is an alkali-stable surfactant that is freely soluble in 50% NaOH and 45% KOH.
Surmax®CS-727 has relatively poor solubility in phosphates and silicates. 1% Surmax-727 is soluble in 10% TKPP and 10% sodium metasilicate. Higher levels of Surmax-727 are not soluble at these levels of TKPP and sodium metasilicate. Surmax®CS-727 is very low foaming and provides good detergent properties in alkaline detergent formulations. The detergent properties are good at low temperature and improve at higher temperatures. Surmax®CS-727 can hydrotrope small amounts of low-foaming nonionic surfactants into highly alkaline preparations.
